Waffle Tips

There are so many kinds of waffle makers that it’s impossible to write instructions for them all. Be sure to check your manual for information about your waffle iron. Some require cooking spray, many do not. Cooking time and waffle size also vary.

Most of our recipes do not ask you to separate the egg yolks from the whites. It’s true that you’ll get a slightly lighter, fluffier waffle if you divide your eggs, but it’s not always necessary. You should feel free to divide your eggs and whip the whites to stiff peaks before folding them into the recipes here — we’re just not going to force you to do it.
